BART DELORENZO is Artistic Director of the Evidence Room where he has directed THE CHERRY ORCHARD, SHE STOOPS TO COMEDY, KILLERS, FLOW MY TEARS (LA Weekly Revival of the Year), HOMEWRECKER, HARD TIMES (and adapt.), MESSALINA, MAYHEM, CRINGE, PENTECOST, DELIRIUM PALACE, DON CARLOS, THE IMPERIALISTS AT THE CLUB CAVE CANEM, SAVED, NO ORCHIDS FOR MISS BLANDISH (LA Weekly Award, Direction), ONE FLEA SPARE, ALMOST BLUE, ANDROMACHE, EARLY MORNING, THE LIFE OF STUFF, THE HOUSEGUESTS, LEONCE AND LENA, and SWELL, among other projects. He has produced or co-produced all of the above as well as THE BERLIN CIRCLE (LA Weekly Production of the Year), THE SKIN OF OUR TEETH (LA Weekly Revival of the Year), INSIDE THE CREOLE MAFIA (LA Weekly Revival of the Year), DARK RAPTURE, and the Fabulous Monsters' productions of THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST and SPEED-HEDDA, among others. He has received many awards and nominations for his work, including a "Local Hero" Garland Award for Direction. He has directed over 50 plays around the country and also participated in the development of new works at South Coast Repertory, the Mark Taper Forum's New Work Festival, California Institute of the Arts, A.S.K. Theater Projects, the Ojai Playwrights Conference, and Madison Repertory, among others. In 2006, he directed the Center Theatre Group's kick-off premiere event of Suzan-Lori Parks' 365 Days/365 Plays outdoors at the Los Angeles Music Center plaza and on the steps of Walt Disney Hall. He is a graduate of Yale University and the American Repertory Theater Institute at Harvard where he served as Directing Assistant to Andrei Serban.
