SISSY BOYD
studied with Martha Graham and danced with many diverse and avant-garde companies in NYC. She appeared in the video art of Peter Campus, and the films of Mark Rappaport. In L.A. she has been in several Allison Anders films. She studied poetry with Holly Prado, and playwriting with John Steppling and Murray Mednick. As a member of Oxblood Theater Company, she participated in the production of challenging theater. Her own play, THE DEFINITE CHILD, was directed by Wes Walker. Her last play, THE GREEN SHOES, which she directed, was called ãsilent and measured, a hauntingly lyric dreamscape.ä (LA WEEKLY Pick of the Week.) In the last several years she has danced in a myriad of Ken Rohtâs original theater creations, most recently SPLENDOR, A 99¢ ONLY STORES WONDERAMA and GROWING WITH GHOSTS.
